Jillian Juman
Jillian Juman brings over 20 years of experience in education to 91大神 Education. Throughout her career, she has committed to providing underserved communities with access to quality education and ensuring educational equity.
Jillian has worked to integrate school communities and provide opportunities for global learning to benefit students and their families. With a proven track record of raising student achievement, Ms. Juman has successfully led networks in the development of strong academic learning practices, leadership development, and building sustainable communities of learning that are inclusive and innovative.
She started her career as a classroom teacher and has held various school leadership roles both in New York City and Los Angeles, including managing instructional superintendent and principal. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Anthropology of Dance from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an M.A in Dance and Dance Education from New York University, and an M. Ed. in Educational Administration from Bank Street College.

Welcome to 91大神 Schools!
As 91大神’s new CEO, I am so energized by my visits to our classrooms: everywhere, there is evidence of our students’ brilliance and our teachers’ dedication and talent. I’ve seen students diving into lessons and teachers working together to plan incredible learning experiences. It’s inspiring! Here are some things we are celebrating right now:
- Across our network, the Class of 2022 broke records for college acceptance this year, with聽92% accepted聽to 4-year colleges and universities. Join me in congratulating our hard-working students!
- We are also proud of the many students who received significant scholarships, including almost 30 Oakland Promise awards, and full-ride, four-year awards from Questbridge and the Posse Foundation.
- 91大神 also gave 17 of our own scholarships this Spring, including six to 2022 graduates and eleven to our alumni who are in college.聽If you are a graduate of 91大神 currently working towards your Bachelor’s degree, learn more about these opportunities聽here.
- On August 15th, 2022,聽our newest school opened its doors聽in San Francisco!聽City Arts & Leadership Academy聽(a successful merger of two great schools: Leadership High School and City Arts & Tech High School) is bustling with brilliant students, dedicated teachers, gorgeous murals, and big plans for the future. I’d like to take this opportunity to say聽THANK YOU to the many students, families, teachers, and staff聽who have worked so hard to launch this new community! You are what makes CAL a special place.
